Singapore: Singapore Botanic Gardens (Orchid Garden)
Singapore Botanic Gardens is only one of the three gardens in the world to be recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. While the gardens cover the vast expanse of green, the main attraction here is the National Orchid Garden – the largest collection of orchids in the world with 1200 original species and 2000 hybrids! Orchids from all over the world are represented here in different habitats specifically designed to showcase them. Orchids being my favorite flowers, it was like a kid in a candy store, especially in the cloud forest zone with rare high elevation tree-dwelling orchids. Coincidentally, orchid is a national flower of Singapore.
