Slovakia: Hervartov Wooden Church
This small wooden church in the village of Hervartov – Church of Saint-Francis of Assisi – is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Built in 1499, it is the oldest and best preserved wooden church in Slovakia. Sadly it was closed and we couldn’t get insider, but even from outside the tiny fortified church looked like impressive piece of medieval wooden architecture.
