Socotra: Detwah Lagoon & Fun With Blowfish and Octopus

Detwah Lagoon is a shallow lagoon that is surrounded by beautiful desert landscape and is just teaming with various sealife. Walking around the knee-deep water, you can play with blowfish (there are two species here), sea urchins, octopus (next post), and try eating all the delicious shellfish straight from water. After a lot of fun with blowfish that inflate and deflate in your hands, we tried shacking delicious oysters just with rocks in your hands, opening and eating sea urchins straight from the sea, and also giant clams and scallops. Where else in the world can you experience this visual and gastronomic insanity?
