South Africa: Blyde River Canyon National Park

Blyde River Canyon is a spectacular landscape in the northern part of the Drakensberg escarpment. The river twists and turns through the canyon for 25km surrounded by weathered cliffs rising to over 2000 m/6000 ft. It’s a “green” canyon, covered in subtropical vegetation and is one of the largest canyons on earth. There are also several small slot canyons and waterfalls here as well.
