South Korea: Gyeongbokgung Palace

Gyeongbokgung Palace is even older then the Changgyeong Palace nearby and was the royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. In fact it was the largest royal palace in Korea, with over 500 building and 7700 rooms. Once again, the Japanese did a severe job of total destruction in WWII, but the palace was almost entire restored once again. It’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
