Spain/Castilla La Mancha: Albacete

Albacete isn’t really an interesting town lacking any major attractions. It’s name is derived from the Arabic “al-basit”, meaning “flat”, as it lies on a completely flat plane in the central Spain of Castilla La Mancha. There are some minor attractions, like the Cathedral of San Juan, several other churches, various historic buildings, monuments, squares, and fountains. After seeing other jewels of Spain, all of these kind off comes as average and mediocre.
