Spain/Navarre: Pamplona – Bullfighting (2nd Fight)
(see detailed description of the bullfighting process in the previous post 139). The second fight was the most spectacular since it included Spain’s most famous matador – Juan Jose Padilla aka The Pirate. The 45-year old matador is world-famous for his insane fighting skills and performance that is borderline suicidal. He has been injured 39 times, three times nearly to death. Once – a bull pierced his throat, another time – the horn went through his eye, third time – he was nearly scalped clean. he does the most daredevil stunts – dancing and prancing in front of the bull often without the red cloth in his hand (that is he himself attracts the bull as a target). Insane!
