Tanzania: Tarangiere NP – Black-tailed Mongoose

Black-tailed mongoose aka slender mongoose (Galerella sanguinea) is quite common in the African savanna. The animals are social and leave in small colonies or occasionally in pairs. They are mostly carnivores although during the dry season they can become omnivorous.
