Thailand: Pattaya – Tiffany’s Show
Tiffany’s Show is the most famous show in Thailand and supposedly “4th best show” in the world” – at least that’s what the brochure said. It’s been running for over forty years in Pattaya and is ultra-lavish sing-and-dance cabaret-like show that takes on cultural songs and traditions from neighboring southeast counties – China, Korea, Japan, and of course Thailand, as well as poking fun at Europe and even Broadway. The singing isn’t real and none of the statuesque performers in princess-like dresses are real girls. The show’s sets are extravagant and over the top with costumes dripping with gold, topped with crowns, characters riding hover bikes, flying in the air, and performing mild acrobatics. Taking pictures is strictly prohibited. At the end, all the performers line up outside the theater were one can pose with them and take pictures , including with the annual winners of the Miss Tiffany’s pageant contest.
