Tuvalu: Fuagea Islet
Funafuti Conservation Area protects six uninhabited islands on the western side of the atoll with incredible reef, birdlife, plant life, marine animals, and land crabs. The westernmost islet – Fuagea – is perhaps the prettiest: palms sway in the middle, hundreds of rare birds fly around or nest in the palms (black noddies, boobies, tropicbirds), the island can be circumnavigated in a 15-minute walk, the beach is wide and perfect, and snorkeling is great pretty much anywhere you step off. This is where you wanna be “lost” and become a “survivor”
