Tuvalu: Tefala Islet
The second islet of the Funafuti Lagoon that we stopped t was the Tefala islet is the western side of the atoll. The island is tiny and circular and is what a classic island lost in the Pacific Ocean should look like – coral reef with beautiful yellow and and the dense palms in the middle on the western side of the island you re actually walking on the exposed coral reef rim, while the inside is an absolutely stunning lagoon for snorkel. Lots of birds as well.
