Ukraine: Buzki Gard National Park

In the center of Mykolaiv Oblast/Region of Ukraine lies the national park that is often considered to be the Ukraine’s version of the Colorado River canyon in the USA – Buzki Gard. The Southern Bug river cuts through the old shield rock here, creating a very pretty u-shaped canyon with boulders all around the place and panoramic views abound. Also here is a a beautiful Radomove Ozero (Radon Lake), which appears like a crater of an extinct volcano, but it isn’t. It is man-made and is an abandoned granite quarry.
