Ukraine: Rohatyn

The town of Rohatyn dates back to the 12th century and was granted Magdeburg city rights under Poland in the Middle Ages. The main attraction here is the UNESCO-listed wooden Church of the Holy Spirit. The amazing wooden architecture dates back to 1598, which is truly stunning. All around the church is a medieval cemetery with many-centuries-old stone crosses and monuments. The town center is also jam-packed with attractions – like the St Nicholas Church, monument to Rolsalana, and Church of the Nativity.
