USA/AZ: Grand Canyon NP – South Rim
The Grand Canyon is one of America’s most famous and world-renown natural wonder, and a bucketlist destination for millions from around the globe. Consequently, it’s quite a zoo of people, even at the time of the pandemic. The South Rim gets the lion’s share of visitors, seeking the panoramic views. The Desert View Road runs for 22 miles along the South Rim with multiple overlooks – Mather Point, Moran Point, Lipan Point, Grandview Point, Navajo Point – being the most spectacular. At each overlook – you can an absolutely surreal view of the Gran Canyon and the Colorado River deep down below. And the further you drive, the more solitude you get, as the views get more and more expansive.
