USA/CA: Kings Canyon NP – Black Bears
Hiking around the Grants Grove in the Kings Canyon National Park among the humongous sequoia trees, we almost walked in into black bears – a female bear with two small cubs. We were literally within a dozen feet from them. The mother didn’t care much, as she was very busy ripping off the bark from the tree trunks and looking for ants. The cubs patiently followed her in the distance and just waited for her to move to the next tree. The cubs were probably 1-year old and interestingly they were completely different in color – one was brown and the other one black.
