USA/ME: Old Orchard Beach
New York has Coney Island and Maine has Old Orchard Beach – an old-style beach resort with a lot of sandy beach, shallow ocean, and plenty of amusement rides like the Ferris Wheel. The beach is truly impressive – gold yellow and ultra wide at the low tide, going like this for long 7 miles! But the real show-stopper is the old wooden pier that juts out far into the sea and looks like it’s gonna fall apart at any moment.
