USA/MT: Kootenai Falls
Kootenai Falls is a series of falls and cascades where the Kootenai River looses around 300 feet in elevation over a very short distance. The falls are not tall, but immensely powerful, spraying mist and water all around them. There is a hike to the top of the falls as well as another hike down to a hanging bridge spanning the two sides of the wild river over a deep canyon. Walking across and back is a thrill, as it wildly shakes with you on it and is a bit of a hair raising experience.
