USA/MT: Ross Creek Cedars Scenic Area

A lot of people heard of redwood trees or giant sequoias in California, but what a surprise to find a similar grove of super giant trees in northern Montana, that almost nobody knows about. Ross Creek Cedars Scenic Area protects an ancient grove of giant western red cedar trees. Many of these ancient trees are over 400 years old and are more than 8 feet in diameter and 175 feet in height. Walking around the loop trail, you are surrounded by these giants. It’s quite hard to photograph this, but the experience is quite surreal.
