USA/PA: Harrisburg

Harrisburg is the state’s capital, located on the picturesque banks of the Susquehanna River. The Pennsylvania State Capital complex is unquestionably the centerpiece of the historic old town, it’s massive green dome rising above all the other old churches and buildings. The dome is a 1/3-scale Renaissance-style replica of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The State Street leads from the Capitol to the river and is lined up with century-old churches and historic mansions. As is with any large city in the US post COVID and protests – it’s very empty, desolate, and uncomfortable.
