USA/WY: Yellowstone NP – Grand Geyser Erupting
And we got lucky to witness the eruption of the Grand Geyser! This is the tallest predictable geyser in the world – it erupts every 6-7 hours in a spectacular fountain that shoots water up to 200 feet/ 60 meters (4 times higher then sold Faithful) and then and lasts for 9-12 minutes (4 times longer then Old Faithful). Grand also have two side geysers – Vent and Turban – that erupt before and after the Grand Geyser. It was totally insane to watch the entire sequence and sit just feet away from this spectacle shooting hot water into the sky in a multiple fountains display.
