USA/Alaska: Mendenhall Glacier

Moving down south to Juneau… Mendenhall Glacier is one of the main attractions here – a spectacular river of ice that can be approached very close. You can even get into the ice caves underneath the glacier with waterfalls pouring above your head. The trails also go along both sides of the glacier for panoramic views up the icefield.
