USA/CA: Yosemite NP – Climbing the Half Dome
Yosemite Vallay National Park is one of the most spectacular parks in the North America and was one of the very first national parks created in the USA. It protects spectacular glacier-carved landscape with granite domes and cliffs, incredible waterfalls, valleys and lakes, giant sequoia groves, and a wide diversity of flora and fauna. The Half Dome is massive granite block rising almost 5,000 ft (1,500 mtrs) above the valley floor. The cable route hike is a gruesome ascent with an almost vertical wall at the end scalable with the help of cables.
