USA/NE: Alliance
Alliance is a small town in the middle of nowhere in Nebraska (one could argue the whole state is in the middle of nowhere). With the population of 8k people and railroad depot being the major industry here, the town saw almost 70k people descend on it for eclipse viewing. Church grounds and lawns were converted into camping sites, restaurants had to remain open past 3pm in Sunday, and all sort of eclipse-memorabilia and specials were for sale.
