USA/New Jersey: Horse Shoe Crab Migration
Every year at the full moon tide in May horseshoe crabs (prehistoric animals related scorpions and over 450 milllion years old) come in thousands to spawn on the shores of Delaware Bay in New Jersey and Delaware. This year, May 5/6 2012, the year’s biggest full moon (Supermoon) feel on May. The horseshoe crabs came out in record numbers at the high tide.
