USA/NV: Fly Geyser

Fly Geyser is a very little-known natural attraction in the middle of nowhere in the Black Desert in Nevada. Yet, its pictures have graced many nature magazines and calendars. The geyser came to life in 1916 as a result of a well drilled in the desert when an underground geothermal reservoir was hit and began to continuously erupt. Over the years, many colorful sediments and terraces accumulated to create a truly spectacular natural wonder. Today water is constantly shooting out, reaching over 6 ft (2 m) in the air.
