New Zealand: Cedar Breaks National Monument

Cedar Breaks National Monument is like a miniaturized version of the Bryce Canyon National Park – smaller and much less visited – but spectacular nonetheless. Its natural amphitheater located at over 10000 ft / 3000 m above sea level is packed to the rim with spectacular red-sandstone rock hoodoos – an incredible result of millions of years of erosion.
