USA/UT: Newspaper Rock National Historic Site

Newspaper Rock is a petroglyph panel of a sandstone that carries over 2000 years of various prehistoric drawings on it. The etchings represent Fremont, Anasazi, Navajo and English cultures. In Navajo language, the rock is called “Tse Hone,” which translates to “a rock that tells a story”. There are over 650 rock carvings that represent different animals, human figures, and symbols.
