Vatican: Vatican Museums – Pinacoteca, Stamps & Coins

Housed in a separate building is the Pinacoteca featuring paintings from the heavyweights of Raphael, Leonardo da Vinci, Caravaggio and more. Just next door are the dual Museo Filatelico & Numismatico, featuring various coins and stamps issued by the Vatican through ages (the post office is also conveniently located here, as is a large gift shop). You can also exit the buildings and walk outside (once you had your fill of everything inside) and admire grand buildings housing all the treasures of the Vatican Museums. Finally, another masterpiece awaits you on the way out in the form of a magnificent spiral staircase.
