Vietnam: Ba Na Hills – Cable Car
Ba Na Hills is a mountain resort in the hills above Danang, it was originally established by the French as a resort for tourists up in the cooler air and with panoramic views over the Eastern Sea. The place was turned into a massive amusement park in the last decade with a faux French village and buildings and various Disney-like attractions and entertainment. Clearly – not my thing. However, the Ba Na Hills Cable Car that takes you up here is the world’s longest uninterrupted cable car ride (in fact, there are four cable car lines running in parallel), going for 5,801m / 19,032ft. It’s an awesome ride, hanging hundreds of feet above the spectacular green hills and occasional fog and clouds.
