Vietnam: Vinh Moc Tunnels
Moving on In the central Vietnam – Vinh Moc Tunnels. Vinh Moc Tunnels is another example of the Vietnam War relic. These were actually dug on the North Vietnam territory and the primary reason was to shelter the villagers of Vinh Moc village from the US bombing (as well as resupply North Vietnamese troops). The tunnels go down to the depth of 30 meters, and around 60 families lived in this underground maze, even 7 children were born in the tunnels! These are much wider then the Cu Chi Tunnels, and one can walk or crawl through them – although it’s a hot, steamy, sweaty, and mosquito-packed adventure.
