Zimbabwe: Batoka Gorges

The Zambezi River that is responsible for the Victoria Falls has carved out spectacular gorges (six in total) below the present day waterfall. Actually, every gorge is where the water used to drop hundreds and thousands of years ago and then eventually developing a new gorge further up the river. Almost all gorges have the perfect horseshoe shape. A new Overlook Cafe is situated precipitously at the edge, offering a spectacular view with a cold Zambezi beer in hand.
