Canada/Nova Scotia: Cape Breton NP – Cabot Trail

Half of Cape Breton is a National Park – a spectacular landscape of mountain plateaus, beautiful rocky beaches, forested valleys, and awe-inspiring ocean panoramas. The Cabot Trail scenic highway circumnavigates the park with plenty of awesome viewpoints, small settlements with lighthouses, and jaw-dropping landscapes along the way. While seemingly not that long, it can easily take a whole day or more if you meander on the beaches, hike various mountain skyline trails, or stop to sample local seafood. Assuming it doesn’t rain.
