Antarctic Peninsula: Crabeater Seals

Crabeater seal is the most abundant seal species in the world with a total of almost 75 million. Living all around the Antarctica, they have adapted to eating almost exclusively krill and have specialized teeth to seive through water. We saw many of them lounging on floating pack ice.
