Azerbaijan: Azerbaijan Food Recap

Azeri food is quite diverse with a lot of influences from Turkish, Iranian, Russian and other cuisines. The country’s landscapes from high mountains to Caspian Sea also contribute to wide diversity in dishes, drinks, and desert. Azerbaijan makes its own wine, which is quite good. We had amazing kebabs of different meats and varieties, beef stewed with cherries, dolma, Azeri plov (quite different from Uzbek), qutab (meat and spices in a pancake). Lots of good tea, and some local vodka.
