Belarus: Minsk – around the city

Minsk is a 2 million people (plus or minus) capital of Belarus. Clean, pretty, atmospheric, somewhat empty. There are hardly any historic monuments in Minsk as it was completely destroyed during WWII, yet there’s plenty of modern architecture along broad avenues and large squares – Victory Square and Independence Square and connected by Skorina Prospect (Avenue), flanked by several parks along the way and he meandering Svisloch River.
