Cambodia: Kulen NP – Preah Ang Thom

Kulen National Park protect a vast area of near-pristine mountain rainforests north of Siem Reap, centered around the Kulen Mountain, which is considered a sacred mountain and the birthplace of the Khmer Empire. On the top of the mountain, there is a complex of ancient and new temples and ruins, known as Preah Ang Thom, famous for a massive reclining Buddha statue carved into the rock, many huge boulders with mini temples, and dozens of old and new carvings and monuments, many dating back to the heydays Khmer Empire.
