Canada/Newfoundland: Humbpack Whales Breaching

At the top of Newfoundland, a narrow strait separates the island from the mainland Labrador. This area is like a strip mall fast food place as the currents bring massive amounts of fish together, hence the whales like to swim and feast here. As out ship cruised through, a huge humpback put a nearly 20 minute show with breaching and showing off. Humpbacks are 25-30 tonnes mammals that, unlike other whales, like to beach and jump out, as well as show their long pectoral fins (no other whales have them this long or district). This particular individual basically swam on his back, waving at the ship.
