Canada/AB: Jasper NP – Maligne Canyon
Maligne Canyon is the deepest canyon in the Canadian Rockies, twisting and turning down to the maximum depth of 160 feet. The powerful river easily erodes the soft limestone as it drops down from the mountains. It’s some steep hiking to go along the canyon but is spectacular, especially as you get to cross 6 bridges spanning it. In winter, you can ice climb into the canyon.
