Dominican Republic: Dominican Food Recap

Dominican Republic food is best described in the SNL skit about David Ortiz – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luWBghJpx9I – a good mix of mofongo, chiccharon de pollo, camarones, chimichuries, tostones, papas fritas and so on and so forth. And loads and loads of drinks – cuba libre, mamahuana, ron (rum), and pretty much everything else with rum. Or the omnipresent Presidents beer. Roadside food stalls and specialties are also incredible – like the juiciest toasted piglet and the sweetest baked sweet potato.
