Egypt/Sinai: Ras Muhammad National Park – Cruising

For many people, Ras Muhammad National Park is the reason to come to the Sinai – the park protects the waters at the very southern tip of Sinai that are rich in biodiversity and offer some of the best diving and snorkeling in the world. The park is 3/4 marine and 1/4 land. On a typical day trip (a tourist trap in many ways), you get to cruise in both the Gulf of Suetz in the west and Gulf of Aqaba in the east. The views are absolutely spectacular – hazy mountains and desert, water with every possible shade of blue, and even occasional dolphins along the way. Plus you get three snorkel stops and a visit to the sand bank known as White Island
