India: Delhi – Rajpath & India Gate

Rajpath is a super wide ceremonial boulevard in the heart of New Delhi constructed during the British rule. On the eastern side of it stands the India Gate – a memorial to the Indian soldiers that died fighting for the British Army in WWI. The boulevard then runs up to Raisina Hill – two symmetrical buildings with rostral columns that is the seat of the government of India. Finally, Rajpath ends with Rashtrapati Bhavan – the residence of the President of India.
