Isle of Man: Snaefell Mountain Railroad

Snaefell Mountain is the highest point in the Isle of Man, rising to 620 meters (over 2000 feet) above see level. A steep electric railroad built in 1895 takes you there in antique 19th century railcars. Along the way you pass beautiful moorland with panoramic views, and on the top the views are unparalleled in all directions as you can see the sea anywhere you look (if you can withstand the wind gusts). The ride up and down takes about 1/2 hour each.
