Malta: Siggiewi

Siggiewi is also known as Citta Ferdinand and is smack in the middle of Malta surrounded by prehistoric sites and packed with historic medieval buildings in its core. Like everything in Malta – every building and church is yellow, made from the same stone. The centerpiece is the massive 1693 Church of Saint Nicholas with Baroque facade. The town (or more like a village) is off the tourist path, and you will roam the streets yourself, ogled by locals sipping on some spirit in the middle of a hot day.
