Mongolia: Tsenher Hot Springs
In the middle of a beautiful forested area and green meadows – scalding 85 Celsius hot springs are gushing from the ground – literally out of nowhere! The hot water is then piped via rather primitive piping for several kilometers into the private homes or ger tourist camps (ger is a Mongolian round mobile house). With outside temperature dropping below 10 Celsius (40 Fahrenheit), hot pools come it quite handy at sunset, and even better at sunrise.
