Norway: Barony Rosendal & Kvinnherad Kirke

Barony Rosendal is a 17th century estate/castle in the town of Kvinherad. The estate was built in 1650 and just about 25 years later the King of Denmark, Christian V, gave it the status of “barony”, the only such estate/castle in Norway. Just nearby in the town of Rosendal is a white stone church Kvinnherad Kirke from 1250.
