Sweden: Swedish Food Recap
We had a lot of different varietals of the open-faced toast skagen – boiled shrimp sandwich with white bread, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, whitefish roe, dill, lemon, and butter – that’s consumed all over Sweden. Grilled salmon and Arctic char is also commonplace and delicious! On Gotland is was all about grilled herring! Always with loads of boiled new potatoes, heaps of dill, and crispy beers.
