Tobago: Grandby Fort

Grandby Fort was the first British-built fort on the island of Tobago, in 1765, to protect the newly established capital, Georgetown. The French took over the fort from 1781 to 1787, during their occupation of Tobago, after which it was abandoned, and the capital moved to another bay. No much (actually nothing) remains from the original structure except the location on a beautiful headland with two bays in each side – Barbados Bay and Pinfold Bay
