Trinidad: Galera Point & Toco Lighthouse

Galera Point is the easternmost tip of Trinidad, open to the pounding waves and winds of the Atlantic. This is also the site of the Toco Lighthouse, built in 1897. Several pathways lead past the white tower of the lighthouse and into the rocky ledges of the dramatic coastline where you can watch the waves crash. This is actually technically where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean Sea.
