Ukraine: Ternopil

Ternopil is another oblast (regional) capital in central Ukraine and a major city, dating back to 1540. Located along the river banks, it has many architectural attractions like the Ternopil Castle from 1544, massive Blessed Virgin Mary Cathedral, Maidan Voli central square, and a very beautiful waterfront. There’s also a 16th century Resurrection Church along the water. The city center is packed with century-old buildings that are home to many bars and cafes.
