USA/KY: Lost River Cave

Lost River Cave sounded like an absolute must see – a river disappears into a sinkhole and then re-emerges inside a 7-mile long cavern where you take a boat tour to see it, entering though one of the largest natural entrances on the east coast of USA. In reality, it was more then underwhelming – the boat trip is a mere 1/2 mile in a seriously unremarkable Cave hardly with any formations whatsoever. There is also some history connected to the cave, but not worth it. Overall, it was a waste of time and more importantly money – the Lost River Cave is privately owned and thanks to clever advertising draws nonstop crowds of people (even with COVID, which apparently nobody heard of in KY).
